Winter, temperature far below zero and snow storms outdoors... think it's time to stay at home with a cozy blanket and some hot tea, huh? Not even close!
This Thursday we are challenging you to come with us to celebrate the baptism of Jesus Christ. Even though it is considered to be a religious holiday, nowadays it has become just a famous Russian tradition. This day people all over the country go out and immerse themselves into icy water - don't miss the chance to become a part of it!
This is the fourth time ESN HSE Moscow offers international students to join on this adventure. We will be waiting for you at 10 p.m. in the Dorm 5 hall on the third floor. Before leaving make sure you are dressed up properly and have towels and flip-flops with you. The ice swimming will take place at VDNKh park and for the sake of security will be controlled by medical specialists to help you in case something goes wrong. There will be a tent where you can change, warm up and also have a cup of hot tea.
Not sure you're brave enough for this experience? Come and support your international mates!
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask them here or write to Roman Kiselyov-Augustus.
